If we ask for protection,we hand over our freedom to the Government

Look for this sign in Chatsworth

Free enterprise

Sit down and meet Trina (when she is not busy)

 Free assembly

a homy kitchen until you look around

Freedom to eat what we think is good for us

its the law

 What freedom

its the law

its the law

its the law

its the law

its the law

It seems to be funny and rewarding catching store owners through entrapment.

It is  sad that we get encouraged to call crime stoppers to report on neighbours on friends and on fellow citizens we do not like.

It is a situation we most likely would criticize another country for.

We call this freedom.

By the way I do not think at all smoking is healthy.

I think that chlorination is not healthy either. Whatever Government decides is healthy or not healthy needs to be examined very carefully. The ultimate decision what to eat ,what to drink, where to go, what to do, what to think, how to treat oneself when sick, how to educate the children, how to farm, how to sell, should rest upon the individual.

Government and bureaucracy has long overstepped its authority.

Lets return to basics, lets return the responsibility back to the people, lets understand “the responsibility of freedom”.

Good post Michael. The question in my mind is what can/will you do to fix this problem of over-regulation?

    • mschmidtpc says:

STOP further implementation of regulations without the Legislature.
Since 2004 till today 250 000 new regulations have been implemented in Ontario alone.
      THAT MEANS ABOUT 41 000/YEAR
      THAT MEANS ABOUT 112/DAY
      THAT MEANS ABOUT 4/HOUR
THAT MEANS EVERY 15 MINUTES ONE MORE REGULATION IN ONTARIO (WHICH IS QUESTIONABLE LAW)
WHICH IN fACT HAS NEVER BEEN PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE.
These are only Provincial regulations. On top of that we still have Federal regulations and Municipal regulations.

We need to review the procedures; who can in fact create regulations? How do regulations get implemented and who implements regulations?
We need to understand to what extend regulations paralyse peoples lives.
We need to expose how regulations are used to create fear and mistrust amongst people.
No regulation should be implemented unless Legislature has full knowledge and voted on them.
Regulations so far never need the approval of the elected officials, thats why most MPP’s cannot do anything about it.
      STOP IT NOW.

  3. 2censworth says:

And how about a Citizen Commission to recommend removal/reversal of at least half of all existing non-legislated ‘rules’ ? Commission comprised of a good cross-section of citizens—small business, farmers, retirees, etc—-all little guys. Then a close accounting of what MPPs vote for or against the proposed changes.
